SILVIA COHEN W

Born in Venezuela, Mrs. Cohen studied Fine Arts at the University of Haifa, Israel, and through the years has experimented with several forms of visual arts. She participated in collective and solo exhibitions in Venezuela, Israel, Switzerland, Romania, and the United States..

Based in Miami since 2018 , Silvia has engaged in both her artwork as well as in art teaching activities. Moved by the pictures of photographer Andy Sweet and the south beach Jewish people, she transformed them into characters that go to other imaginary and bizarre destinations. 

Then she turned to her own family and the Jewish life of the 60's and 70's back in Caracas, Venezuela. Her artwork depicted people in parties or simply enjoying life. LA ALEGRÍA DE VIVIR was exhibited from Nov. 20th, 2022 to Feb. 20th, 2023 at The Jewish Museum - FIU in Miami, Florida.
